Functional Nutrition Counselling

Your body has been
trying to tell you something...

For when your labs say you’re fine.

For when you’ve tried the right things and still don’t feel right.

For when you know something is off — and you want to understand what.

What brings most people here

The body rarely breaks down in one place at a time.

Fatigue connects to blood sugar. Blood sugar connects to hormones. Hormones connect to digestion. Digestion connects to inflammation.

The pattern is always systemic — even when it shows up as one specific symptom.

These are the concerns I see most often. They are not separate problems.

They are different entry points into the same conversation — one about what your body is communicating and what it needs to feel supported.

Bloating · irregularity · discomfort that has become normal

When digestion is off, everything feels off. Bloating, heaviness, irregularity, or a gut that has never quite felt right are not things to manage around. These are things to understand.

Fatigue · cravings · energy that crashes and climbs

The afternoon dip. The pull toward sugar after lunch. The energy that was there this morning isn’t now. These are not character flaws — they are signals from a blood sugar system that needs support.

Aches · fatigue · a body that feels like it is working against you

Chronic inflammation is rarely dramatic. It is the persistent ache, the fatigue that sleep doesn’t fix, the body that feels older than it should. It has sources — and those sources can be addressed.

Perimenopause · menopause · estrogen imbalance · mood and weight shifts

Hormonal changes do not happen in isolation. They affect blood sugar, digestion, sleep, and energy simultaneously. A root-cause approach looks at the whole picture — not each symptom separately.

Energy · metabolic health · prostate health · vitality

Functional nutrition applies regardless of gender. I work with men experiencing low energy, metabolic concerns, and prostate health issues — using the same functional nutrition principles that underpin the broader practice.

If something feels persistently off — energy that has declined, a body that is not responding the way it used to, or a specific health concern you want to understand more deeply — a 1:1 session is a good starting point.

Post-treatment recovery · rebuilding metabolic function · navigating the terrain

Finishing treatment is not the end of the journey. Restoring digestive function, addressing inflammation, and supporting metabolic recovery are all areas where functional nutrition can offer meaningful support.

For many women, it is the beginning of a different and often more confusing one — navigating a body that has changed, a medical system that has moved on, and a set of symptoms that nobody quite prepared them for.

Functional nutrition in this context is not about treating cancer or influencing its course. It is about supporting the body’s own processes as it rebuilds — restoring digestive function disrupted by treatment, addressing the inflammation that can linger afterwards, supporting metabolic recovery, and helping the nervous system find its footing again.

The approach is the same as with any client — root-cause, systems-based, one layer at a time. What changes is the terrain we are working with and the care taken to work with it.

This service is available through 1:1 sessions. I work with a small number of clients in this area at any one time.

Whichever of these brought you here, the approach is the same.

Root cause. Systems-based. One layer at a time.

The Grounded Health Pathways program is where that approach is applied most fully.

The Approach

Healing Hiearchy

Functional nutrition addresses root causes in a specific biological sequence. You cannot restore gut function before stabilising the fuel system. You cannot address inflammation before the gut is working. You cannot look at hormones before the foundations beneath them are stable.

Most people who arrive here have tried things that worked for a while and then stopped — or never quite worked at all. That is not because the approach was wrong. It is because the sequence was missing.

The Grounded Health Pathways suite follows the healing hierarchy deliberately. Each level builds on the one before it. The program does not add layers until the body is ready to receive them.

“Your body is not working against you. It is working with what it has — and communicating constantly about what it needs.”

Working with me directly

For some people, the program is the right starting point. For others, a more direct conversation is what is needed first — or alongside it.

I offer a small number of 1:1 functional nutrition sessions for people who want personalised support applied directly to their pattern, history, and current terrain.

Sessions are conducted virtually. I work with a limited number of clients at any one time so the support is genuinely individual.

Three-session package · block-booked upfront

Sessions are offered in a block of three, spaced two to three weeks apart. All three are booked at the outset — this is deliberate. Consistency is what allows patterns to be tracked and adjustments to be made meaningfully.

Session 1 · Intake and Pattern Mapping

A deeper conversation about your history, your current signals, and what your body has been communicating. We establish a baseline and identify where to focus first.

Sessions are available as a standalone package or as a complement to the Grounded Health Pathways program.

Session 2 · Assessment and Adjustment

We review what you have noticed since the first session. Inputs are adjusted. The picture becomes clearer. We refine the approach around your actual response—not a generic protocol.

Session 3 · Integration and Next Steps

We read the pattern across the three sessions together. What has shifted? What remains. What is the next appropriate step — whether that is continued 1:1 support, the program, or something else entirely?

Who 1:1 Sessions Are For…

You have a complex health history that needs a practitioner’s eye before starting a program.

You are already in the program and would like personalized support based on your data.
You have signals that have not responded to what you have already tried, and you want a root-cause read on why.

Sessions are conducted virtually. Available to clients worldwide.

A limited number of spaces are available at any one time.
